According to a leaked product page on the Australian Parallels page, the popular virtual machine software will support Microsoft’s Cortana virtual assistant throughout OS X. The product page explains that as long as Windows 10 is running somewhere in the background, users will always be able to say “Hey Cortana” and receive a response (via Neowin). People have often called for Apple to bring Siri to the Mac, so this may satisfy the needs of some of those users, but the requests definitely won’t stop....

Esteemed actor Patrick Stewart has let it slip that the first episode of the upcoming Star Trek: Picard series will feature some huge Borg reveals. The series takes place 20 years after the events of 2002’s Star Trek: Nemesis and is heavily impacted by two seismic events in Star Trek’s long, storied history (one of which happens in Nemesis). Several other Star Trek: The Next Generation actors will appear, such as Brent Spiner, Jonathan Frakes, Marina Sirtis, and Jeri Ryan, as confirmed by Picard’s NYCC trailer....

Popular vitalization software Parallels has today been updated to version 13.1 with a host of improvements. The update primarily focuses on improving the performance of Parallels with macOS High Sierra, include better optimization for features such as HEVC files and Apple Filesystem… Parallels 13.1 was released toady and announced in a blog post. The update brings enhancements such as fixes for problems copying files between Windows and macOS, which was likely caused by the switch to APFS....

. Interesting exit interview with Intel CEO Paul Otellini wherein he says (duh) he regrets not trying harder not to get his chips inside the iPhone (and subsequently iPod touch and iPads). While there seems to be some sentiment that if Otellini had tried, Intel would have won Apple’s iOS device business. But, it clearly isn’t that simple. ARM chips use an order of magnitude less power than Intel chips, even to this day....

Earlier today, yet another report emerged claiming that Apple would launch an iPhone ‘Pro’ or iPhone 7 ‘Pro’ this fall.
