Pandora is out with an update that brings a highly requested feature, streaming support for Apple Watch. This offers more flexibility to listen to your favorite music even if it’s not downloaded to your watch when away from your iPhone. Update: Pandora says that the updated Apple Watch app is rolling out to a small group of users at this time but should be rolling out widely soon. Pandora launched it’s Apple Watch app just over a year ago with support for offline listening but streaming directly from the wearable was absent until now (via MacRumors)....

Web gaming on iPhone and Android continues to gain momentum with services like Microsoft’s xCloud and Nvidia’s GeForce Now and Opera is opening up the beta of its customized browser for gamers today. The new Opera GX is available to try now and comes with haptic feedback, custom skins, gaming news/deals, and more. Update 6/15: Opera GX for iPhone and iPad has now left beta and is available for all users for free on the App Store (and Android too)....

Oppo unveiled the Oppo A9 2020 smartphone back in 2019 and the phone is a decent mid-range device. Oppo is a big brand and as per a research report by Counterpoint Research, Oppo holds 8% of the global smartphone market share. Users running OS X Mountain Lion version 10.8.5 are beginning to see an “Open in iBooks” button for purchased books in the iTunes Store, replacing the previous “Download” button text. The button, while functionless on Mountain Lion, is yet another indication of the imminent launch of OS X Mavericks late this month. Clicking the button on a computer running Mavericks will indeed open the selected book in the all-new iBooks application....

We know Adobe has introduced a feature for Flash developers which lets them purpose versions of their applications for the iPhone. The upcoming version of Flash CS5 will allow you the option to “Export Project to native iPhone application.” While Apple hasn’t yet uttered comment on this, we’re hopeful the company will not oppose the first third-party development IDE for its device. We’re most intrigued, however, by ARM’s announcement that they have optimised Adobe Flash Player 10....

We still can’t say that many Apple services, besides Apple Music, are a hit. In fact, we know that Apple TV+ has a small but growing list of subscribers, and that people have been losing interest in Apple Arcade and Apple News+. It’s been two years since Apple held its 2019 March event focusing on Services, and a year and a half since Apple Arcade was released. Only now can we say that Apple has piqued user interest with Apple Arcade, and given users a major reason to subscribe to Apple One....

It was reported yesterday that Apple is disbanding the division of the company responsible for its wireless networking products: the hard drive-equipped Time Capsule and both AirPort Extreme and AirPort Express routers. The report was given additional credence by recent discounts and the fact that the products haven’t been updated in more than three years. At 14, my father bought me an old fully-manual film SLR, and my aunt gave me her old darkroom equipment, so my bedroom became a darkroom with a bed in the corner. When the first DLSRs hit the market, I waited impatiently for them to drop below the $1000 mark. That early Nikon D70 was replaced by a D3 which I still have today. Oppo unannounced smartphone spotted on Taiwan’s NCC and Singapore IMDA authority. The company upcoming smartphone comes with CPH1851 model number and is believed to come as Oppo AX5 smartphone. Taiwan’s NCC shared some images of the phone that reveals few details about the phone. As Apple reportedly plans to expand its role in podcasting, Pandora is also now looking to compete. The company announced today that podcasters can now submit their shows to be included in Pandora’s growing catalog of podcasts. Submissions are handled via the new online hub “Pandora for Podcasts.” The company says creators can submit their shows “for consideration to be included in Pandora’s rapidly-expanding catalog of podcasts.” Again, Pandora is emphasizing its Podcast Genome Project, which it says is capable of connecting listeners with podcasts they’ll love:...
